Astounding works! I would love to put my name on a wee comission list for you, i know I will take ages but take your time to get to me, I am perfectly happy waiting for such astounding work.

This is my dervish, Mila Fox, (i like to think of her as having a Lara Croft look & attitude to everything ^^)

What would be good is to just put a set limit of how many drawings you will do and when that list is done you can decide if you want to do more.
If you are taking commissions I will stake a place in line.

Thrilled you decided to give it a go!!!

<---SECOND ON LIST, SCREENIES POSTED

I realize there might not be much you need IG... BUT, IF you want a MINI GWEN, then why don't you charge ectos, and maybe after a few commissions you will be able to buy her. I really don't suggest free. I don't really care if people get pissy at me, BUT, you are very talented, this takes time, and why not get some type of reward?? A savings account for a Mini Gwen!!!

Just because you charge, does not mean you need to feel pressure or look at it as a job. Many artists take a while to get commissions done, and everybody here understands that. It's called REAL LIFE. Maybe your Varesh took a few weeks, and perhaps the commissions you do will not be so astonishing, but with your talent I am sure they will be awesome.

Thinnk about it....
as low as ectos are at the moment..... if you charge 20 ectos... thats about 100K. Maybe less, maybe more. I don't know. It just really feels WRONG, that because you are unsure of what to charge, deciding to do it for free, and people jumping on it.........

A thought is, since you are doing Commander Ryker's first ( *coughs* I'm second) and since it might not be in the style of Varesh, maybe you want to wait until you are done, and then think of a price. I know Ryker will pay up ( we live together), and since I'm second and will pay up as well.... it will give other people wanting commissions some time to maybe rethink once you have settled a price.

I would like a drawing of this ninja girl

I was thinking a pic of her kneeling over a dead Jade Brotherhood, with her head bowed, like in a prayer for them? Thanks a ton.

Wow Diablo, all this time posting around and you have never posted your artwork on this forum? You nuts.

Your artwork prices, in my opinion for this artwork, should be easily 200k-500k. You make each piece feel original and beautifuly done!

You've completed added your self to the list of few who I want to do my artwork, really it's just two people, but still

Ugh, 8th in line. Can you tally up a list because I have a request that I will pay around 50-75k for if you decide to do it.

The subjects are gonna be Roar Roar Dinosaur (mango's character) and Jeff Highwind. The idea is that we want to see what our characters would look like in the modern world so here's the deal:
Roar Roar's images:
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y11...arroarkurz.jpg
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y11...rkurzcavvy.jpg
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y11...w/roarkurz.jpg
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y11...zfrontback.jpg
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y11...rfowcomish.jpg

Jeff Highwind:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...indprofile.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...Wars/gw647.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...gw15kdruid.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...Wars/gw452.jpg

As I said, we want to see our characters in a modern setting. The environment should be somwhere with alot of space, like say the top of a tower or a industrial area or a park. Both our characters will be wearing modern clothes and we should be just hanging out having a good time.

For Roar Roar, her T-shirt should be light blue say "Roar Roar" and have a small dinosaur on it, and she should be wearing These cargo pants. She should also be wearing light-blue converses. Mango also says you can mess with the hair as well, like say make the hair buns ponytails instead, but that bit's up to you.

For Jeff Highwind, I would like him to be wearing a brown t-shirt with the AC-DC logo on it, and over it a unbuttoned black polo shirt that is longer than the brown t-shirt. His pants should be black cargo pants as well but baggier and somewhat tattered near the foot. Shoes would preferably be vans but they need to be black. In terms of hair, I would prefer to keep it as is but can you remove that headband that Highwind's got going?

Oh yea, Roar Roar is shorter than Jeff, about say up to his chest or barely up to his chin. Reference image

Hope this helps out, I really wanna see this get done.

ok, I absolutely HAVE to post screens here . I see your list must be quite long already, but if you ever work your way down to my post, I'd very much love you to draw/paint Eryn, my Paragon and favourite character

she's a tough girl, maybe a little melancholic sometimes, because she's an orphan kinda 'adopted' by the Sunspears and doesn't know much of her background. Eryn's a born leader, but it's lonesome at the top. Apart from that, she's a fierce fighter who doesn't like to retreat and she has travelled a lot;

As you're a game artist, in case you feel like something concept-art-ish (in the case you don't get bored with commissions until it's my turn, that is ), that would be great too - I leave that up to you

For Roar Roar's hair, I want to keep the look of the two buns, but real-world-ized. As Jeff said, perhaps two ponytails, or maybe messy buns, or something. And the hair ribbon should probably be removed. Pretty much, make her look like a modern-day bunhead

Oh, and if she could perhaps wear some colourful bracelets on one wrist, that would be neat.

I hope you have fun with this, and thanks in advance
If you need any more reference material, ask me or jeff ^_^
Oh yeah, and I'll definitely be adding to Jeff's pot of cash

... Diablo...

How the sweet hell did you drag the time together to make those?!

Seriously.... I haven't looked closely enough to discern even roughly the processes used.... but cripes... While I know I can manage just about anything artistically if I dedicate enough time, I can safely say it would take me months of constant work to even get anything like as good as either of those (and my patience would wear out long before then).

I'm not counting myself amongst those who are requesting commissions.... I just want to know how so I can try to get better myself....
Would you mind sharing the secrets? o_0;

Well, I can bet that he uses grayscale painting first to set up his values and lights and darks, then when B&W basic image is done, he paints over new layers some on Multiply, Color, and Normal values. Also constant adjustments to brush setup are needed, such as color dynamics, shape dynamics etc.
Usualy when it comes to digital painting most of artists do it this way, and it's cool and easy way to get maximum efficancy from an image.

However I might be wrong... but it doesn't matter becouse those pictures are raly nice.

The only thing I don't like in this thread is that people are getting their posts more and more with request of a commission becouse its free, and it's done by astonding artists skills. In my expirience there will be only 1 of 2 endings here. Eather he will do them all, for free, and RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO up his RL job, so he can do all demands OR he will do 1, 2, 3 of commissions, then will have to say that he can't do more becouse of his job obligations, which will make some (i say some not all) of you guys very much pissed of becouse you didn't got your images.
I realy hope I'm wrong here, but I doubt it.
